Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, Patrol & Children’s Center
We poured concrete for the new Patrol & Children’s Center in 2014, accommodating specific designs for walls that are able to withstand avalanches. The building lies in a slide zone; those who frequent A-Basin may know this avalanche chute by the name of its ski run, the Professor.

Keystone Gondola
The new Gondola at Keystone Ski Area constructed in the summer of 2008 gave us a chance to partner with Dopplymeyer CTEC, the world leader in construction of  “ropeway” transportation systems. This was our company’s first opportunity to construct structural piers, over 40 feet tall, with concrete placement requiring tolerances of less than 5 mm. It was the biggest commercial project in our company’s history, in terms of the extent of the work involved, the man power required, and the exposure of the project itself.

Breckenridge Riverwalk Center
This project was a unique opportunity for us to showcase a new, interesting use of concrete. We were asked to create a decorative concrete wall, inlayed with a pattern created by wood cedar panels attached to the inside of our concrete forms. This created a wood impression in the concrete as it was poured into the wall. When the forms were stripped, the concrete was exposed and it made for an interesting contemporary look to this auditorium for the Town of Breckenridge. All of the foundation work, and flatwork on this project was completed by Orr Concrete.
